Coordinates: 24°10′N 87°54′E / 24.17, 87.9 Hansan (Bengali: হাঁসান) is an assembly constituency in Rampurhat subdivision of Birbhum district in the Indian state of West Bengal.

Hansan I and II are village panchayats under Rampurhat II intermediate panchayat of Birbhum zilla paroshad.[1]

From 1996 to 2006, Asit Kumar Mal of INC was elected from the Hansan (SC) assembly constituency. He defeated Kahgendtanath Mal of CPI(M) in 2006, Mihir Bain of RCPI(R} in 2001 and 1996. Trilochan Das of RCPI (RB) defeated Asit Kumar Mal of INC in 1991. Asit Kumar Mal of INC defeated Trilochan Das, Independent in 1987. Trilochan Mal, Independent/RCI, defeated Asit Kumar Mal INC/Ind in 1982 and 1977. [2]

Hansan is part of Birbhum (Lok Sabha constituency).[3]
