Hans Ragnemalm

Hans Ragnemalm (born in 1940), is currently Swedish Juris Ombudsmen and former law professor at the University of Stockholm. Ragnemalm was also judge in the European Court of Justice.
Ragnemalm earned a doctorate in law. Subsequently, he was Professor of Public Law at Lund University before becoming Professor of Public Law and Dean of the Law Faculty at the University of Stockholm. Ragnemalm served as Parliamentary Ombudsman and later Regeringsråd (i.e., judge at the Supreme Administrative Court of Sweden).
In 1995, Ragnemalm became Sweden's first judge at the European Court of Justice in Luxembourg. He held this position for 5 years, from (January 19 1995to October 7, 2000). After this, Ragnemalm returned to Sweden to serve as President of the Swedish Supreme Administrative Court from 2000 through 2005.
