Hans-Joachim Walde (born 28 June 1942) is a West German athlete who competed mainly in the Decathlon.
He competed for the United Team of Germany in the 1964 Summer Olympics held in Tokyo, Japan in the Decathlon where he won the Bronze medal. He returned for the 1968 Summer Olympics held in Mexico city, Mexico now representing West Germany. In the Decathlon he went one better winning the silver medal .
