  • Jul. 1937 Chosun Heavy Industry Co., Ltd., established
  • Aug. 1945 Company placed under government management, name changed to Korea Shipbuilding Engineering Corp. (KSEC)
  • Mar. 1956 Listed stocks on the Korea Stock Exchange.
  • Aug. 1967 Korea Dredging Corporation established (name changed to Hanjin Construction Co., Ltd., in 1990)
  • Aug. 1968 Hanil Development Co., Ltd., established (name changed to Hanjin Engineering Construction Co., Ltd., in 1994)
  • Nov. 1968 KSEC privatized
  • Dec. 1969 Company begins to export ships
  • Mar. 1983 Industrial Technology Research established
