Hungarian Metal Awards is a prize created in early 2006 in order to react on the best album of the past year. It was created after all the news about the Danish and Finnish Metal Awards. Since 2007 it is called HangSúly - Hungarian Metal Awards. Prizes:

• Best album
• Best debut album
• Best concert band
• Best studio production
• Best cover

Only Hungarian rock/metal bands can participate. The jury comprises leaders and journalists of Hungarian metal magazines and webzines.

The prize is only for appreciating the work of a band, there is no financial support behind it.
