Over a Dogma(2004 - 2006) is a four-piece band (Hamada guitar and lead vocals, Jean bass, Barny on percussion and Damien drums). It is a Moroccan band based in Hong Kong with music steeped in the Gnawa tradition which is a collection of rhythms that travelled to Morocco from South East Africa through slavery. The band has a loose structure to allow people to go away on individual adventures, and drift back when they feel they are ready.

Recently, Jean the bass player has embarked on a jazz course based in Nancy France. Damien, the drummer of the band, is touring/re-sourcing in Africa. Barny is working as a session percussionist in Hong Kong. Hamada is playing lead guitar for different bands and has recently embarked on a musical adventure with the Togolese Musician Thierry Nkeli Faha.
