I notice that the population figures in the box and the text differ - which one is correct ?

I changed the phrase "performed the tale in the authentic places". How can that be when we are talking about a legend ? Besides, the play is performed in the town centre, I've seen it. RASAM (talk) 22:47, 8 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Some historicly content

Sorry for my bad English, I tried my best but years in school are far beyond. Hopefully somebody understands what I wrote down and can correct it to a better English. I will try to translate more of the German Site, maybe somebody else can correct it afterwards. I was grown up in Hamelin and have loads of pictures on my MacBook. Maybe there is a way to upload them? --89.182.8.215 (talk) 16:45, 12 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Another interesting fact

...is that Hamelin has more than 24 gambling halls at a population of aprrox. 60.000 people. That is the highest density of gambling halls (called "Spielhalle") all over Germany. Is has to do with money laundry, but is mostly tolerated. Hamelin is also home of a british milltary engineers garrison and home to the only youth prison in the state of lower saxony (Jugendanstalt Hameln-Tündern).--89.182.8.215 (talk) 16:45, 12 February 2008 (UTC)
