Many of the Niagara Escarpment parks in Hamilton include picturesque waterfalls that plummet over the cliffs. There's at least 80 waterfalls in the area— some of which are well known, particularly in local neighbourhoods. As recently as 1999, the city has also been nicknamed “The City of Waterfalls”.
