Hammersberg Skanse/Terningen Skanse is a small fortification situated approximatwly 2km west of Elverum town centre (Elverumsleiret )in Hedmark, in south west Norway. It guards the small river "Terningen", and was constructed as a defence against the Swedes. River Terningen and Terningen Skanse also lends it's name to the current Norwegian army camp, situated about 50m away; Terningmoen.
