Hamer or Hamer-Banna is an Omotic language of the Afro-Asiatic language family. It is spoken primarily in the southern part of Ethiopia by the Hamer people. Other names for this language include: Amar Amarcocche Amer Ammar Bana Banna Beshada Cocche Hamar Hamar-Koke Hamer Hammer Hammercoche Kara Kerre. [1]
