This organization helped to polarize New Zealand, causing a lot of bitter divisions in a country that never really experienced such things. Those of us who were in New Zealand in 1981 can appreciate just how bitter things became. HART was regarded by a lot of people as a four-letter word. It was a miracle that noone was killed. Expatkiwi

HART did not halt the tour. They only caused the cancelation of a couple of games. All of the tests went ahead.
