Talk:Half and half
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Until we can get a citation for this, perhaps we can just store the content off the main page:
- Sexual Term - A "half and half" describes a sexual encounter, typically with a prostitute, during which half the encounter is spent having vaginal intercourse, and the other half is spent having oral sex.[citation needed]

- Riiiight, because all the rest of the content is so well supported by references. -- Rogerborg 12:06, 2 October 2006 (UTC)

- True, but this is a food stub page, so perhaps we need a disambiguation for food, beverage, & sex. -The Gomm 16:31, 2 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Chips?
In the article, it says that as a curry ingredient, half and half refers to half rice, half chips, and wikilinks to the "chip" disambiguation page. I was going to fix the link, but I'm not sure if it refers to the British English meaning (American "French fries") or to the American definition (British "crips"). Does anyone know which one this refers to? I can't find it.–DroEsperanto 23:10, 13 January 2007 (UTC)

- It's the British meaning of chips, it's also used in East London though isn't common. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.179.66.72 (talk) 18:08, 29 February 2008 (UTC)
I don't know how widespread this is, but where I grew up (Northern California) we called soft serve ice cream that was half chocolate-half vanilla "half and half." I think people in the rest of the country call this type of soft serve "twist" or "swirl."
[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:HalfAndHalf.jpg
Image:HalfAndHalf.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
