"Hailu Shawel is the one of the most genuine politician who takes the risk of calling a spade a spade. He changed the political atmospher of the Ethiopia by boldly expounding the real problems. He was able to form a coallition of four parties and challenge a 14 year long government in six months during the 2005 General Election. The whole nation is marching behind his peaceful struggle for freedom and democracy. He is now struggling from his prison cells where he was thrown out of concocted treason charge. He will be remembered through the days of all ethiopians."
