Hagley Rc High School is a specialist Arts College status secondary school and sixth form located in central Hagley adjacent to Hagley railway station. The school plays host to students studying for Key_Stage_3, GCSE, AS and A-level examinations. The school is well known for the unfortunate M40 minibus crash that occurred on November 17, 1993. The school also plays host to a sixth form allowing students to study for A/S and A levels. The school recently agreed to work in correspondence with Haybridge High School and sixth form, just across the road, to share subject teaching in the less commonly chosen subjects by students.
[edit] Notable Alumni
- Footballer Lee Sharpe attended the school before pursuing his football career - he has made multiple jokes on once being told They told me my, (or lack of it) work, wouldn't get me anywhere, and now look where I am! Lee Sharpe also revisited the school in 2006 to present awards on behalf of the school at their 'prize giving evening' to chosen 'exceptional students'.
