Gastrointestinal parasites present a management challenge to producers of small ruminants such as goats and sheep. AFSRC, in cooperation with Virginia Tech, is evaluating effects of chemical and physical characteristics of plants on parasitic nematode worm Haemonchus contortus egg development and larval survival.
