Haebaru南風原町 (Haebaru-chō?) is a town located in Shimajiri district, Okinawa, Japan.
As of 2005, the town has an estimated population of 34,020 and a density of 3174 persons per km². The total area is 10.72 km². Haebaru is home to many of the island's pachinko parlors. Haebaru is also the birth place of Ultraman, a fictional television character that wrestles with giant monsters and grows to giant size as well. It is a very busy little town with the closest expressway access from Naha itself and it is right next to Naha too creating a non stop flow of people coming and going. It's a great place to live and work.
In June, 2007 Haebaru opened to the public a dug-out bunker used as a military hospital during the 1945 Battle of Okinawa.
