[edit] Hachiōji the next designated city of Japan?

I was wondering in the future if Hachiōji City can become the first designated city within Tokyo-to (alone or merged with Machida City). And if so here is a possibility that might occur for example: Tokyo City shall become Japan's first-ever prefecture-level city because its 23 special wards are in the same level as other municipalities and "Tokyo-to" converts back to "Tokyo-fu". jlog3000 (talk) 18:14, 2 June 2008 (UTC)
