H.265
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
H.265 is a proposed recommendation of VCEG. Proposals and organizational work toward this Recommendation are still under consideration. Although some agreements about the goal of H.265 have been reached, e.g. computational efficiency, a concentrated standardization effort is expected to be embarked on in 2010 or later, due to insufficient readiness of technical advances at the moment. Sources say that H265 will be 50% more efficient than H.264. [1]
