'Gyp' is an ethnic slur, is it not? And not just a 'slang' term as described in the definition? Evixir 00:27, 5 December 2006 (UTC)

According to http://www.worldwidewords.org/qa/qa-gyp1.htm Gyp as used to mean to cheat someone is not necessarily derived from the ethnic group, and it's origins are murky at best.Meiran 21:11, 19 September 2007 (UTC)
