[edit] Contradiction

This article contains the phrase "eliminate any possibility of them becoming sexualised". But that is contradicted later by "schoolgirl uniform pornography" and "schoolgirls as sexual objects". Can somebody resolve this contradiction? bobblewik 15:37, 17 August 2006 (UTC)

It is not a contradiction . It is simply a misinterpritation of the wording. Originally and when worn by school girls as mandatory uniform, it's meant to increase the modesty of a girl, but the gymslip has also become a sexual object when used by the makers of pornography to depict a schoolgirl either being punished or to 'enhance' the uniform.--Lucy-marie 16:59, 17 August 2006 (UTC)
It's sexualised due to its association with schoolgirls, not with sportswomen. --Sam Blanning(talk) 17:40, 17 August 2006 (UTC)
