I cleaned up a fair bit of the grammar but am not quite sure what they are trying to say in the last paragraph. The phrase "...were exclusively possessed by their surroundings." needs help but I just can't determine what they mean.--Stockwell 06:05, 3 Jun 2005 (UTC)

I think it just means that high end bureaucrats were primarily drawn from the area. Not entirely sure though. Balancer 11:22, 3 Jun 2005 (UTC)

- As it was written this statement seemed a bit biased in the NPOV department. Since it needed work anyway, I think it is best to shorten it up a bit. Anyone with more specific information as to the origin of a dialect bias would be welcome to clarify this section. Also edited and wikified the article. Gblaz 19:44, 3 Jun 2005 (UTC)

[edit] About deletion

This phenomenon can also be observed in tag questions.

  • Eopje, geujya? as opposed to Eopji, geureotchi? - It isn't there, is it?
a in Eopje, geujya is different from that of question marker "na" because "Eopje, geujya" is the resulf of contraction "Eopje, geu(reu)ji anna" (geureuji anna > geureujyanna > geujyanna > geujya). - Airridi 05:13, 27 March 2007 (UTC)
I don't know enough about Busanmal to agree or disagree with your comments, but the point still stands. The a of anna is still preserved in geujya, so we can say the a vowel is used for yes/no questions. Also, please note the article now uses a not na to be more general. --Kjoonlee 15:49, 25 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Updates

Woah, the Korean and Japanese editions of Wikipedia have overtaken this article by leaps and bounds. We need to catch up IMHO. :) --Kjoonlee 21:16, 17 April 2008 (UTC)
