[edit] "Miss World" riots link relevant?

I'm not sure the link to the (very interesting) HRW report is actually relevant to this article. It just happens to mention that people in one neighbourhood were mostly Gwari Christians. Orourkek 13:58, 11 May 2007 (UTC)

As you well know, it is sometimes hard to find relevant info about Nigerian topics. Picaroon (Talk) 22:15, 11 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Current status of the Gwari

From my own personal experience I know that the Gwari have tended to be pushed out to the edges of cities in their former homeland. In particular they were mostly driven off what was once their land and is now Abuja. However I can't find any references to cite to back this up. Can anyone suggest anything?

For example, central Kaduna city is largely Hausa but the settlements in the bush to the north of the city (around Rigacikun) seem to be mostly Christian and Gwari.

I'd assume that there is a source, somewhere, that says this, but if it is even on the internet it is probably behind the walls of a subscription-only journal. I regulary remove info from Nigeria-related articles which I know to be true but which are unverifiable at the same time; it's a trade-off you have to make for the integrity of the encyclopedia.
