Talk:Guy-cry
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Guy-Cry has been acknowledged by trade publications such as Entertainment Weekly and Variety. It is the subject of academic research by media and contemporary film scholars. The genre has been around for over 30 years and is getting more and more attention. The genre can spell box office bucks and will continue to be a part of mainstream culture. For these reasons, I propose that this page NOT be deleted. While some may believe that "guy-cry" is a neologism and could be interpreted in a multitude of ways, the critical research done by scholars and the writings done by trade editors proves that "guy-cry" is anything but a flash in the pan meaningless phrase. I ask that this page be kept alive.
