Guwen Guanzhi is an anthology of more than two hundred works from the Spring-and-Autumn period (722 B.C.) to the Ming dynasty (1644 A.D.). These pieces are regarded as the some of the best examples of narrative and expository prose in Chinese literature. Representing a diversity of styles and encompassing traditional Chinese moral values, the writings in the Guwen Guanzhi have enjoyed a wide readership throughout Chinese history. This anthology is selected as a popular studying material for beginner of classic Chinese studies. There are many articles of Guwen Guanzhi are selected into Chinese textbooks.
