Gustav Svensson (born 7 February 1987 in Gothenburg) is a Swedish football midfielder and defender. He played for a local team in Gothenburg as well as a French team in his youth but joined IFK Göteborg at the age of 14. He has played there since and won the Swedish Championship with the club in 2007.
He was nominated as rookie of the year in Swedish football the same season but lost out to Johan Oremo.
Gustav Svensson usually plays as a central midfielder but has also been playing centre back and full back from time to time, including some of the nine caps for the Sweden under-21 team.
