Guru Nanak Nursing Educational Trust

Guru Nanak Nursing Educational Trust ("Trust") is an Indian trust registered on 11 April 2002 under the Societies Registration Act (XXI of 1860) and as amended by Punjab Amendement Act 1957.[1]

The Trust was established by the local people and non-resident Indians (NRIs) of the village of Athouli along with prominent citizens of Phagwara.

The Trust was set up to provide quality education to rural masses especially so that they can compete on a national and international level. To this end, the Trust set up the Guru Nanak Institute of Health Sciences and Research.

The Trust's objects are:

  1. to maintain and construct common buildings of village Athouli
  2. to open and run a nursing school and a college in Athouli
  3. to take steps for the educational, social and moral uplifts of the masses
  4. to do all such acts as tend to promote social welfare activities
