[edit] More work
More work needed on the article plus some pictures to upload. The history of the park following Pricess Amelia's death is more complex than I had thought. Peter Maggs 20:43, 22 January 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Residents regard it as being in the London Borough of Ealing
The park is clearly entirely in Hounslow. [1] MRSC • Talk 11:12, 1 February 2008 (UTC)
- Ealing and Acton councils that purchased the park, not Hounslow. The fact that Gunnersbury now lies administratively within Hounslow hardly changes its historical and social perspective. Ask the local residents whether they think Gunnersbury park is in Hounslow! Peter Maggs (talk) 14:41, 2 February 2008 (UTC)

- As to whether it's irrelevent what the local residents think, I would invite any of them reading this to comment! As I said in my original entry on your talk page, you miss the point. No-one argues with the fact that the park is administratively in Hounslow and the observation you edited out did not contradict that point. In ignoring the social context of the park, you lessen the historical accuracy of the piece.Peter Maggs (talk) 15:39, 2 February 2008 (UTC)

According to this the park has been entirely in Hounslow (and its predecessors) since at least the parish of Old Brentford i.e. before 1894. However, we learn here that Acton BC, Ealing BC and Brentford and Chiswick BC jointly administered the park. The article should reflect these sources. MRSC • Talk 16:39, 2 February 2008 (UTC)
