Gunnar Bøe

Gunnar Bøe (born 20 January 1917 in Bergen, died 9 December 1989) was a Norwegian politician for the Labour Party.
His father Gunnar Olaf Bøe held a doctorate in medicine, but Bøe graduated with the cand.oecon. degree in 1940 and the dr.philos. degree in 1956. The same year he became professor at the Norwegian Institute of Technology.
From 1946 to 1948, during the second cabinet Gerhardsen, he was appointed state secretary in the Ministry of Finance. From 1959 to 1962 he was Minister of Wages and Prices.
He resumed his academic career, becoming rector at the Norwegian Institute of Technology from 1969 to 1972.
