[edit] Problems with image uploads

Most of the media files, which you have uploaded, have been listed for speedy deletion because you indicated that only Wikipedia has permission to use this file. While it might seem reasonable to assume that such files can be freely used on Wikipedia, since explicit permission to use it was given, this is in fact not the case. Please do not upload any more files with this restriction on them, because content on Wikipedia needs to be compatible with the GNU Free Documentation License, which allows anyone to use it.

If you created these media files and want them to be kept on Wikipedia, you can tag them with {{GFDL-self}} to license it under the GFDL, or {{cc-by-sa-2.5}} to license it under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike license, or use {{PD-self}} to release it into the public domain.

If you did not create these media files but want them to be used on Wikipedia, there are two ways to proceed. First, you may use one of the fair use tags from this list if you believe one of those fair use rationales applies to these images. Second, you may want to contact the copyright holder and request that they make the media available under a free license.

If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Shell babelfish 18:17, 2 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Blocked

You were asked to stop uploading images without the correct source and licensing information. Unfortunately, instead of responding, you've just continued to re-upload the same images. Your account has been indefinately blocked until you agree to learn the image use policies and stop uploading copyrighted images. Thanks. Shell babelfish 01:44, 4 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Unspecified source for Image:Felipe_V_de_Borbón.JPG

Thanks for uploading Image:Felipe_V_de_Borbón.JPG. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self-no-disclaimers}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 23:59, 8 April 2007 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. BigDT 23:59, 8 April 2007 (UTC)
