{references}} Guillermo Cárdenas Fischer (born 1969), also known as Gucafi, is a Colombian artist. He was born in Bogotá into a family of well known Colombian artists. He has worked as an art academic with many universities, both in Colombia and abroad. Guillermo graduated with a BFA(Bachelor of Fine Arts) from the Rhode Island School of Design RISD in the USA and at the moment is conducting a PhD by research in painting at the Sydney College of the Arts (SCA). The topic of his research is Time and Space in Contemporary Painting; this is being done mainly from a phenomenological approach.
