GSAFD is an acronym for Guidelines on Subject Access to Individual Works of Fiction , Drama, etc., first published in 1990 as a recommendation of a national standard practice in assigning genre headings to fiction.
GSAFD headings may be used in cataloguing works in addition to or in place of LCSH headings.
The headings are defined as:
