[edit] WP:SIGN

Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, such as in Creationism, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You may also click on the signature button Image:Signature_icon.png located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you. WLU (talk) 17:04, 11 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Essay

Here is an essay I wrote for new editors that you might be interested in. Note that you will almost certainly get a rough reception from editors to Creationism on the talk page. If you are truly interested in the project, I suggest editing other pages first as this is a rocky one to start off with. If you are interested in Creationism only, I would highly recommmend reading the archives from beginning to end for an idea about typical objections or suggestions, as well as the typical replies. [edit] Not a fora

Hi,

Note that wikipedia is not a forum for debating evolution and creationism. Talk pages are meant to be used to discuss changes to the main page. Changes to the main page are based on reliable sources, used to verify information placed on the main page. For a large and stable page like Creationism, the version that is up is generally agreed to be adequate given the current sources; any suggestions or issues you may have for the page should be backed up by references, and quite specific. Thanks, WLU (talk) 18:28, 11 January 2008 (UTC)
