[edit] Fair use images
Hi. Welcome to the 'pedia! While uploading images, one has to cite the source of the images as well, apart from licensing info., especially when a licensing tag such as {{fairuse}} or {{copyrighted}} is used. This serves to credit the source of the image, as well as allows others to verify the licensing info. claimed in the image description page.
Can you add the sources of Image:Indian Airbus A320.jpg and Image:Indian A300B4.jpg (and others that you have uploaded, if any) to the corresponding image description pages? Thanks! -- Paddu 21:28, 16 January 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Image Tagging Image:Indian Airbus A320.jpg and Image:Indian A300B4.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Indian Airbus A320.jpg and Image:Indian A300B4.jpg. I notice the 'image' pages currently don't specify who created the content, so the copyright statuses are therefore unclear. If you have not created these media yourself then you need to argue that we have the right to use the media on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the media yourself then you should also specify where you found them, i.e., in most cases link to the websites where you got them, and the terms of use for content from those pages.
If you have uploaded other media, please check that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. -- Paddu 14:59, 5 March 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Orphaned fair use image (Image:Airindiabrand.gif)
Thanks for uploading Image:Airindiabrand.gif. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. [edit] Non-free use disputed for Image:Indian A320.jpg
| This file may be deleted. |
Thanks for uploading Image:Indian A320.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read carefully the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content and then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our Criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 08:27, 5 June 2007 (UTC)
