[edit] WMC Blob 59

The Fall certainly played in a lot of working men's clubs, much of Totale's Turns being recorded there.

The lyrics of WMC Blob 59 are not tremendously clear, but there is no reference anywhere to menstrual cycles. "On the blob" does have this slang meaning, but the word "blob" is not used in the lyrics as far as I can make out.

WMC is not a known acronym for "Women's Menstrual Cycles", which in itself is not a phrase in common usage. It seems almost oxymoronic.

Finally, there's certainly no citation for this.

I don't want to replace what I believe to be speculation with my own speculation, but I'd suggest that the Fall recorded a number of gigs at working men's clubs, and labelled bits of the recordings in this way. "Blob 59" has the authentic ring, to me, of a note on a tape.

I'm opening the discussion. If there's no response or no argument I'll change the text to something less speculative. —Preceding unsigned comment added by HenryPhillips (talk • contribs) 18:10, 3 December 2007 (UTC)
