This image is my own photo of a Maeglin miniature I painted and converted myself for The Lord of the Rings Strategy Battle Game. The image was created for an unofficial gaming supplement, and is taken from the One Ring website

The conversion is made from three Games Workshop models, incorporating a Swan Knight of Dol Amroth, a Knight of Minas Tirith, and a High Elf Spearman. Although a derivitave work, this conversion is in accordance with Games Workshop IP, Conversions. Its use is permitted with the following disclaimer: Miniature components © Games Workshop 2003. All rights reserved. Used without permission - model painted and converted by Grimhelm.

It is currently being used in two articles, to illustrate miniature conversions for The Lord of the Rings Strategy Battle Game, as well as hobby activity of the Games Workshop Online Community.

In its use for these purposes, it is not replaceable by a free image.

This is a two-dimensional representation of a copyrighted sculpture, statue or any other three-dimensional work of art. As such it is a derivative work of art, and per US Copyright Act of 1976, § 106(2) who owns copyright of the original has the exclusive right to authorize derivative works.
