[edit] Welcome from Ravedave
Welcome!
Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. Thank you for your contributions! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. We as a community are glad to have you and thank you for creating a user account! Here are a few good links for newcomers:
- The Five Pillars of Wikipedia
- How to edit a page
- Editing, policy, conduct, and structure tutorial
- Picture tutorial
- How to write a great article
- Naming conventions
- Manual of Style
- Merging, redirecting, and renaming pages
- If you're ready for the complete list of Wikipedia documentation, there's also Wikipedia:Topical index.
Yes some of the links appear a bit boring at first, but they are VERY helpful if you ever take the time to read them.
Remember to place any articles or images you create into a category so we don't get orphans.
I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! By the way, please be sure to sign your name on Talk and vote pages using four tildes (~~~~) to produce your name and the current date, or three tildes (~~~) for just your name. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my Talk page. Again, welcome. -Ravedave 06:36, 24 June 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Disambiguating UAE emirates and capitals
At several of the talk pages for the individual Emirates of the UAE, queries or proposals have been put forth for having separate articles for the emirates and their eponymous capitals (e.g. here and here. As of now, two of the emirates have been disambiguated from their capitals: Abu Dhabi (emirate) / Abu Dhabi and Ajmān / Ajmān (city). If you are interested in discussing a comprehensive approach to the issue, please see Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Western Asia#Disambiguating UAE emirates and capitals. — AjaxSmack 19:11, 14 August 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Code36's MySpace page
The map on my MySpace page in which you are referring to includes markers of where I have been, where I have lived, where I call home and most importantly, places I would like to visit. The particular markers in the European area are places I would like to visit. Therefore my user box is indeed, accurate. Thanks for your concern though. I believe the link on that map that shows those particular markes no longer works, I guess I should fix that. Thanks again bro!
