• Will discuss Greek Folk Dance.
• Provide details, historical information, dance descriptions.
• Provide information on Greek Folk Music in relation to dance, Demotik folk song and dances.
• Provide Dance Theory and Research points for Greek Dance Instructors in the Diaspora.

[edit] GENERAL INTROUDUCTION

We are a group of Greek Folk Dance instructors who wish to create a comprehensive list of Greek dances. We also wish to offer some articles on Greek Dance Theory and Historical Background to the Folk Dances of Greece. We also wish to include folk customs and traditions especially in relation to Greek dances.

A comprehensive list of dances and dance descriptions, including names of villages where they are danced and background information. Links to current music cd's or names of Performing Artists to be able to track the dance music. A developing discussion to allow users to find out more information on hard to find dances and historical background. Updating all articles on Greek Dance and Folk Culture of Greece.

We welcome Greek dance teachers from around the world to contribute in any way possible.
