Hello, I am The Great Ganesha. I really don't have much to say about myself, except that I'm a doctoral student who was once in the NYC metro area, but have now relocated to San Francisco.

I'm currently in the job market, looking for post-doctoral positions in Operations Research, Management Science, Industrial Engineering or Mathematical finance. My dissertation is on stochastic optimization.

And, oh yeah, I blog at the free multi-user Wordpress platform at http://greatganesha.wordpress.com. But that has nothing to do with my work! More a creative outlet, really.

I also started a user-contributed dictionary of Bombay slang at Wordpress called Bambaiyya [1]. Something like the Urban Dictionary [2], but devoted solely to Bombay (and urban Indian) slang. Wikipedia's entry on Bombay slang is spelled Bambaiya.
