[edit] Citecheck
The Citecheck template is designed for articles that misrepresent citations, such as taking quotes out of context. When using this template it helps other editors to explain what citation appears to be misused. Please explain the reason here on talk. Durova 21:48, 20 October 2006 (UTC)
- I was the one who added the template, my reason for doing so is on the edit history. The template is in reference to the section Gretna, Nebraska#Facts, which keeps repeatedly getting added by someone who lives in the Omaha region and works for Hewlett-Packard. I've brought this up on #wikipedia on freenode multiple times: This content has been reverted often, and past reasons have been WP:V, WP:NOR, WP:NPOV, etc. as per edit history.
- However this recent edit I chose to just tag it with a citecheck template because the editor provided URLs. The problem is that none of them mention the content in question, for example the front page of http://gretna.esu3.org/ mentions nothing about there being a fifth school. The section can probably be removed entirely anyways, since it still violates WP:NPOV and in its current context it only adds boosterism. I do live in Gretna, and I personally am more interested in reading about its history. Tuxide 22:08, 20 October 2006 (UTC)
