The image is the copyrighted logo of the non-profit Great Ape Project. It is used to identify the organization on its website homepage.
It is asserted that the image, used in the articles Great Ape Project and Animal rights is fair use under the United States doctrine of that name because the image is used to identify the organization and that the image, not being commercially offered, used in Wikipedia does not reduce the image's value to the copyright holder.
