Grey Ghost is a 1957-58 half-hour black and white television series broadcast on CBS-TV involving the American Civil War exploits of Confederate officer John Singleton Mosby. Unusually historically factual for a TV show (36 episodes were written by historian Virgil Carrington Jones), the series was canceled by the network and sponsors due to the subject matter but remained popular via syndication in the South for the next ten years.
