Greg Wyatt is an American sculptor. Born in Grand View-on-Hudson, New York.
Wyatt is a 1971 graduate of Columbia College. He attended the National Academy of Design for three years and received his certificate in sculpture, and earned a Master's degree from Columbia Teachers College in 1974. Wyatt has taught at New York University and at Jersey City State College.[1] [2]
Wyatt is sculptor-in-residence at the Cathedral Church of St. John the Divine in New York City [3]
Wyatt’s work is based on the philosophy of “spiritual realism.” [4] Stanley Wells, Shakespearian scholar and chairman of the Shakespeare Birthplace Trust, says, ``I compare Wyatt to Rodin, Wells says. ``He's that good. [5] "Wyatt emulates the sculpture of the western world with contemporary vision." [6] "Wyatt is among the most celebrated sculptors working today. His works merge realistic images and abstract masses of form, space and energy and have been exhibited at the Metropolitan Museum of Art and Harvard University, among other institutions and collections.
