Greg Richardson

Greg Richardson (born 1958-02-07 in Youngstown, OH) is a former boxer. He has won a world title in the Bantamweight weight divisions.

Richardson had an outstanding amateur career, and was the 1974 National AAU and National Golden Gloves flyweight champion.

[edit] Pro Career

Known as "The Flea", Richardson turned pro in 1982 and defeated Raul Perez on 1991-02-25 for the WBC bantamweight title. He defended the title only once times before losing the belt to Joichiro Tatsuyoshi in 1991. In 1992 he moved down in weight to take on WBC super flyweight title holder Sung-Kil Moon, but lost a majority decision. He retired in 1996.
