Greg Gilbert (born January 22, 1962 in Mississauga, Ontario) is a retired former professional ice hockey player and the current head coach of the Toronto Marlies in the American Hockey League. During his career, he played for the New York Islanders, Chicago Blackhawks, New York Rangers and St. Louis Blues. He won the Stanley Cup with the Islanders in 1982 and 1983, and with the Rangers in 1994. After a sixteen season NHL career, Gilbert became a head coach, and has also coached the Worcester IceCats of the AHL, the Mississauga IceDogs of the Ontario Hockey League and the Calgary Flames of the NHL.
Gilbert is the only man in professional hockey history to win a Stanley Cup with both New York teams, accomplishing the feat with the N.Y. Islanders in 1982 and 1983 and the N.Y. Rangers in 1994.
