Great Wall China Adoption is a non-profit, HAGUE accredited[1], licensed international adoption agency. The specialty of this organization is placing orphan Chinese children with permanent families of their own in accordance with Chinese and U.S. adoption Laws.
Great Wall China Adoption headquarters is located in Austin, Texas.[2] The organization also has an international office in the Chinese capital of Beijing, near the CCAA headquarters. In addition, Great Wall has over 50 Regional Office Representatives [3] located across the United States, who organize family functions, informative workshops, and provide support at a local level to facilitate the adoption process.
The president of Great Wall China Adoption is Snow Wu.[4] In 1996, the Chinese government established the China Center of Adoption Affairs (CCAA), prompting Snow Wu to found Great Wall China Adoption later that year. In 2003, Snow Wu was awarded the Angel in Adoption Award [5] by the U.S. Congress for her efforts on behalf of children and families. Ms. Wu is also a Board Member of the Joint Council on International Children's Services[6].
