Edited sentence from description since it is not factual. "(this same storm is also credited with creating Destin's East Pass and turning Choctawhatchee Bay into a saltwater body)." Please review historical maps of Florida from the 1500's onward, the Destin east pass is clearly shown and chronicled. One such map is from 1766 by cartographer George Gauld, which shows soundings in fathoms in "St. Rose's Bay" (Choctawhatchee Bay) and the pass. Silverplate (talk) 00:03, 19 March 2008 (UTC)
