[edit] Scientific graphs

Added to a link to a new page on scientific graphs, which weren't quite covered by the existing definitions. The main difference between this definition and the mathematical graphs of functions and relations is that the scientific graphs have one discrete physical quantity plotted against another, invariably on a X-Y graph. They are formed by plotting points from tables of data, rather than from functions. The original motivation for this page actually came about from the homeless scientific definition of versus. Think this page is necessary? --LightYear 05:03, 27 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Linguistics terms

These terms were listed: In linguistics:

However they are not ambiguous with 'graph' in the context of the titles of Wikipedia articles. In fact only the article on Grapheme uses the word 'graph' at all. Just because the Greek root 'graph' is used within technical terms in linguistics doesn't mean they should appear on a disambig page. Have moved grapheme to the 'see also' and deleted the others. That seems like the right thing. -R. S. Shaw 19:20, 21 August 2007 (UTC)
