[edit] Requested Move

Admins, I would like to rename this article to Kallanai which is the original name of the dam. 'Grand Anicut' could be redirected to Kallanai. Currently, it's the other way around. Lotlil 05:55, 2 June 2007 (UTC)

Britannica calls it the Grand Anicut. Even recognizing that "Kallanai" is an older title, isn't "Grand Anicut" the commonly accepted name in English? Dekimasuよ! 04:29, 7 June 2007 (UTC)
Thanks for looking into my request. The "Grand Anicut" is the anglicised version of Kallanai. I ran a quick Google query and while Kallanai returns 2110 hits, "Grand Anicut" returns 870 hits. Lotlil 05:26, 7 June 2007 (UTC)
