Grasmere is a Staten Island Railway train station in the neighborhood of Grasmere, Staten Island, New York. It is located at Clove Road on the main line. This station has the original brick station house from the 1933 grade separation project over the Tottenville-bound track at the south end. The building is open only during the morning rush hour. The platform is located on an open cut and has glass block and concrete windscreens attached to the canopy supports; the only exit is at the west end of the station. The Grasmere crossover, consisting of two manual switches, is located just past the Fingerboard Road overpass north of the station.North of this station, the line merges with the abandoned South Beach branch. This and the North Shore line were abandoned in 1953 due to poor ridership and better bus service in Staten Island. The South Beach line was a two-track line that had six stations along Staten Island’s south shore.
