Grant Turner (born October 7, 1958 in New Zealand) was a football (soccer) player who represented New Zealand gaining 71 caps from 1980 to 1988,[1][2] scoring 19 goals.[3] A midfielder with an aggressive playing style, Turner was a no nonsense ball winner and runner who had an eye for goal. He was capable of playing in attack if called upon to do so.
Turner was a member of the All Whites at the 1982 FIFA World Cup in Spain, where they lost all 3 group games to Scotland, USSR and Brazil, but did not play in the finals due to an injury sustained soon after arrival in Spain.[2]
